NewBIT Studios is dedicated to fostering local talent and expanding career opportunities in the film industry. We will be offering core training programs and have plans to develop advanced specialized training in the future.

Core Training Programs: These are the foundational trainings we plan to offer:

  • Office/Set Production Assistant Training: Learn the essential skills for supporting film and television productions.
  • Office PA Training: Cover essential administrative tasks like answering phones, managing paperwork and data, arranging meals and transportation, and providing general office support.
  • Set PA Training: Learn how to act as a messenger between departments, maintain set cleanliness, manage crowd control during filming, and distribute important paperwork.
  • Studio Operations Training: Learn the essential skills for managing the day-to-day operations of a film studio. This training covers facility management, equipment maintenance, client relations, booking systems, and logistical coordination.
  • Props Training: Gain hands-on experience in prop sourcing, preparation, organization, and on-set management. Learn how to maintain prop continuity and collaborate with the art department.
  • Set Decorating (Set Dec) Training: Discover the art of creating immersive sets and environments. Training includes set dressing, furniture placement, decorative arts, and coordinating with the production designer.

Future Specialized Training Opportunities

We plan to develop more specialized training opportunities in the future for key crew positions, including:

  • Grip Training: Learn the technical skills and safety procedures related to rigging, camera support, and set construction. Grips are responsible for the setup and maintenance of rigging and support equipment for cameras, lights, and other production gear.
  • Electric Training: Gain knowledge of electrical systems, lighting equipment, and power distribution on a film set. Electricians are responsible for setting up and operating lighting equipment and ensuring a safe electrical environment.
  • Camera Assistant Training: Learn the responsibilities of a camera assistant, including camera setup, focus pulling, lens changes, and camera maintenance. Camera assistants are crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the camera department.
  • Greens (landscape) Training: Learn the techniques for bringing landscapes and foliage onto set, including plant selection, placement, maintenance, and safety considerations.
  • Video Playback Assist Training: Gain skills in operating video playback equipment, managing video files, and ensuring seamless playback during filming.
  • Grip and Electric Assistant Training: An introductory level training to support the Grip and Electric departments, including basic equipment handling, safety protocols, and assisting senior crew members.
  • Art/Graphics, 3D Design & Manufacturing Training: This will provide training on Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and involve working with the Art Director and Digital Manager on creative projects.
  • Wardrobe/Costumes Training: Training will include coordinating wardrobe and accessories, researching trends, creating trend boards, handling inventory, and performing administrative tasks.
  • Hair & Makeup Training: This will cover GLAM basics for production, wig inventory management, workstation setup and sanitation, assisting with performer consultations, and restocking supplies.
  • Extras Casting Training: Training involves assisting with selecting and booking background talent, scheduling COVID tests, on-set management of background talent, and administrative tasks.
  • Creative & Development Training: This will focus on supporting the department with tasks such as pitch log entries, script coverage, organizing production notebooks, and potentially attending meetings. It will also include assisting the Script Department with proofing, writing, and creating decks.
  • Script Supervision (On Set) Training: Training will include assisting with script notes, script management, scene breakdown, and ensuring continuity on set.
  • Production Accounting Training: This training will include assisting with filing accounting documents for Production, learning about POs, petty cash and p-cards processes, reviewing invoices, distributing reports, and assisting with special projects.
  • Corporate Accounting Training: This training will involve assisting with filing accounting documents for TPS Corporate, learning about POs, petty cash and p-cards processes, learning how to reconcile Vendor Statements, reviewing invoices, distributing reports, and assisting with special projects.
  • Social Media / Digital Media Training: This training will provide opportunities to assist with social marketing strategies, campaigns, and reporting. Participants will become knowledgeable about major social platforms, conduct audience research, and participate in team meeting
